WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY?

AFTER ALL THE RESEARCH I'VE DONE ON THIS TOPIC, I HAVE YET TO FIND A REAL REASON WHY PEOPLE (ESPECIALLY WOMEN) DON'T WEAR WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY. I MUST ADMIT THAT I DO HATE WHITE SHOES, BUT NOT JUST AFTER LABOR DAY, ALL YEAR ROUND! I COULD ONLY THINK OF ONE REAL LOGICAL EXPLANATION ON HOW THIS "FASHION RULE" CAME ABOUT. LIGHTER COLORS REFLECT HEAT, SO THEY ARE BEST WORN IN THE HOTTER MONTHS. WHILE DARKER COLORS ABSORB HEAT, WHICH IS WHY THEY SHOULD BE WORN IN THE COLDER MONTHS. THIS WAS PROBABLY A CRITICAL THING TO TAKE HEED OF BEFORE THE INVENTION OF HEATERS & AIR CONDITIONERS. BUT IN THIS DAY & AGE, WHY DOES IT REALLY MATTER? WELL, IT SEEMS AS IF THE FASHION INDUSTRY IS REALLY NOT PAYING THAT RULE MUCH ATTENTION ANYMORE. MANY OF THE 2009 FALL/WINTER COLLECTIONS CONSIST OF WHITE OR LIGHT COLORED GARMENTS & SHOES. OF COURSE, I WANT TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK ~ WHITE AFTER LABOR DAY? HOT OR NOT?
